The Mind Map can be applied to every aspect of life where improved learning and clearer thinking will enhance human performance. Originated in 1970 by Tony Buzan, Mind Maps are now used by millions of people around the world - from the very young to the very old - whenever they wish to use there brains more effectively.

Introduction

EDU EXCEL Tuition Centre (formerly known as Amali Tution Centre) located at the vicinty of Gelugor.
Offering tuition classes for primary and secondary school students, EDEX advantage of using the learning how to learn method is sure to give an impact to each and every students.

Learning the HOW is as important as learning the WHAT. Learning how to learn will boost the understanding of what is being learnt. If a student is just being exposed of what he should be studying without guiding him how to study, the student will have tough time trying to understand, memorise and also to recall during exams.

Learning how to learn will guide the student on how he should learn particular subject giving an overview of it, ensuring the understanding of the concepts and also teaches methods of memorising thus improving the recall ability during exams.

Our concept covers the utilisation of both the right and left brain capacity. Colours, imagination and associative thinking will surely enhance the student's ability.

EDEX's Teaching Concept

EDU EXCEL Tuition Centre brings a new meaning to tuition. With the method of "Conceptual Learning" by teaching learning how to learn, students are taught on the how more than the what to be learned.

Often students have problems digesting what being taught to themin school. This is due to their lack of knowledge of knowing how to learn.

In EDU EXCEL students are taught how to learn using various latest methods of learning such as mind mapping. These skills will give the students the advantage of understanding, memorising and recalling the subjects learned.

Our current teaching method in schools emphasizes the left brain thinking have imposed a limitation to the unlimited capability of our brain. We in EDU EXCEL uses various methods which stimulates whole brain thinking that can increase the capability of a student.

2. Free Library services at the centre. Our mini-library equipped with revision books, latest educational magazines and many other educational materials.

Edu Excel Services

Pioneering the "learning how to learn" concept in tuition, we offer these various services addressing the needs of parents:

1. Special tuition classes for Standard 4 to 6 and Form 1 to 5.

2. Personal coaching classes. This class will address the need for the slow learner students whereby our teachers will give full attention to the needs of the particular student.

3. Daily homework coaching. For the busy parents, we can lend you a hand by giving daily coaching session for the students to do their homeworks.

4. Motivational seminars. Our teachers are well trained trainers, able to conduct motivational seminars covering topics ranging from study technics, exam preparation, mind mapping to parenting skills.

Teachers Profile

Engr. Mohamad Abu Huzaifah bin Magbool holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai- Johor. He graduated in 2001 and joined a public listed company as a Mechanical Engineer.

As for his interest in educational field, he has been actively participating in giving motivational talks and seminars for school children as well as university students. He is a certified trainer and also holds a certificate in Tony Buzan’s mind mapping.

Natisya Binti Itayatulla graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Hons). She has experience working in an audit firm as an auditor. She then gained her experience and expertise in education while teaching in a secondary school as a Mathematics and English teacher.

Ms Monira Itayatulla holds a Bachelor of English Language and Literature degree from International Islamic University Malaysia. She is currently a lecturer at private college in Penang and is a former school teacher. Monira has translated a variety of works and she was also a facilitator for school programs such as English Camps which were held at many different schools. In addition, she actively participated in various social works and helped in programs for orphaned children as well as people who are HIV positive and she was also a volunteer for International Language Conference Kuala Lumpur ’08. Some of her interpersonal traits include being friendly and resourceful as she can converse easily with anyone and is mentally equipped to handle any challenge that comes her way. Furthermore, Monira is hard-working and is an optimist who tries to make the best of any situation she is in.
